I am a NRI Should I continue trading in normal account or open a PIS account

I'm working as a Seaman and my status is NRI. I have mistakenly opened a normal trading account from sharekhan.com. I heard that NRI must do transactions through PIS NRI Account. What happens if I continue in normal account without opening PIS account?

You should close the normal account immediately. Since you are a NRI, you need to follow norms applicable to your current status. Giving below are two links, one from the National Stock Exchange of India and the other one from Sharekhan NRI Investment Services itself, which are self explanatory.
