The Birla Sun Life Advantage Fund is declaring its annual dividend for FY2016-17, an amount of Rs 7.47/unit (approx dividend yield of 7.5%) under the regular plan, record date being 26th Aug 2016. Following are few updates on the fund:
The fund has a solid performance track record spanning more than 20 years and has been a wealth creator for investors. Since inception the fund has delivered returns of CAGR 18.91%, implying that an investment doubles every 3.81 years (as on 29th July 2016).
In the calendar year 2016 the fund has generated returns of 15.93%, an outperformance of more than 6% against the S&P BSE 200 which generated 9.31% (as on July 29 2016)
An investment of Rs. 10000 at inception in the fund would have grown to an outstanding Rs. 4.1 Lakhs (CAGR 18.91%) compared to Rs 96,647 in S&P BSE 200 (CAGR 11.16%) leading to an annualized outperformance of around 7.3% (as on 29 July 2016)
An SIP investor in the fund would be a Crorepati with an investment of Rs.10,000 per month in the fund since inception grown to Rs.2.86 crs at an XIRR 19.11%. (as on 29 July 2016)
The fund has declared 17 dividends in 20 years. The fund has been consistent in paying dividends and has not missed a single dividend since the year 2008.
