A one of a kind Cricket themed online investor education quiz
Mumbai, September 11, 2014: Franklin Templeton Investments (India), one of the largest mutual fund houses in the country* launches the Fundtastic Cup, an engaging online investor education game designed on the theme of India’s most loved sport- cricket. The Fundtastic Cup provides a unique online platform to educate consumers on the basics of investments and Mutual Funds.
The Fundtastic Cup seeks to help consumers learn about investments and mutual funds in a fun, simple and engaging manner in the format of a quiz game themed on cricket. Available on desktops, mobiles as well as IOS and Android apps, this exciting game is tailor-made keeping in mind the varied competency levels across consumers. To be played over a period of approximately 6 months, players will score runs with each correct answer and thereby qualify for a chance to win exciting prizes through lucky draws. These prizes include I-Pads, Kindles, Mobiles, Tablets; goodie bags and one grand prize for the “Man of the Match” – a trip to Australia that will be announced at the end of the game.
The questions in the game are grouped as innings, overs and runs. As a user progresses to the next level, the level of difficulty of questions increases. Players have an option of using hints called ‘Ask Coach’. After answering the question, they receive more information on the same via ‘More about the Question’.

Understanding the importance of social media as an engagement platform with today’s consumers, the Fundtastic Cup has been integrated with Facebook login allowing players to register in a more seamless manner. To help increase virality of the game, there are also options to share game progress and scores with a player’s Facebook and Twitter base. The Fundtastic Cup is part of the Investor Education and Awareness initiative from Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund.
