HDFC Mutual Fund has launched HDFC Developed World Indexes Fund of Funds, a New Fund Offer. This scheme is a fund of funds which will invest index funds and ETFs which in aggregate will closely correspond to the MSCI World Index. MSCI World Index is a broad global equity index that represents large and mid-cap equity performance across 23 developed markets, covering covers approximately 85% of the free float-adjusted market capitalization in each of these markets. The Index does not have exposure to emerging markets.

HDFC Developed World Indexes Fund of Funds proposes to invest in the following ETFs and index funds:-

  • CSIF (IE) MSCI USA Blue UCITS ETF
  • CSIF (Lux) Equity Europe (Index Fund)
  • CSIF (Lux) Equity Japan (Index Fund)
  • CSIF (Lux) Equity Pacific ex Japan (Index Fund)
  • CSIF (Lux) Equity Canada (Index Fund)

The allocation to each of the above ETFs / index funds will be according to exposures of these markets in the MSCI World Index. Investment in international equity provides benefits of risk diversification, exposure to investment themes not currently present in domestic equities and potential to benefit from INR depreciation.
