Interest Rates of NSC and Bank Fixed Deposits

Please give suggetions which one is better National Saving Scheme or Tax Saver 5yeras FD?

NSC 5 Years – 8.50%

Tax Saver 5 Year Fixed Deposits – Between 8% – 9% depending upon the bank. Example – Rates for AXIS Bank, DCB Bank and Ratnakar Bank is 8%, 8.50% and 9% respectively. Senior citizens are paid around 0.50% more.
