As you are retired, you can invest in balanced funds or MIPs to receive regular returns as dividend from your mutual fund investments. However there are two things that you should keep in mind.

1. Mutual Fund investments should be made based on your risk appetite. You should invest only in those funds which are aligned with your risk profile. For example, if you are investing in MIPs and balanced funds then your risk should be moderate to moderately high

2. Also, if you are investing in balanced funds or MIPs, then your investment horizon should be minimum 5 and 3 years respectively.

3. Consistency of dividends/ or dividend payments are not assured.

If the above parameters suits you then you can choose few funds from here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds-research/categorywise-dividends As you can see, HDFC Prudence Fund, ICICI Balanced Fund and DSPBR Balanced Fund are amongst some of the funds that could be suitable to you for receiving monthly dividends.

However, if you are considering little lower risk, then check these MIPs which could be suitable for you https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds... As you can see Birla sun Life MIP II Wealth Plan, ICICI Prudential MIP 25 and HDFC MF MIP are some of the funds where you can invest in order to get monthly dividends.

To see the dividend track record of the above schemes, you can click on the right hand side tab on the result section “Dividend history”. This will give you a fair idea as to how much monthly dividend you can get if you invest Rs 10 Lakhs in balanced funds or MIPs.

Hope the above helps you and answers your query fully.
