Should one look for low NAV while investing in ELSS funds

I am 50 years old, I want to invest in ELSS We have fund which have performed well in recent past, How we Will find out future potential good fund at bargain. Should the main consideration be low NAV. Intended sum for investment is Rs. 5000 and time horizon is 5 to 7 years?

The funds that have performed well over a period of time and are still performing well are the one having good potential for future. Therefore, instead of looking at low NAV (which is completely a misconception), you should look at good performing funds and invest in these.
