What is your opinion about SBI MF Equity Savings fund for capital protection and reasonable return

SBI MF Equity Savings Fund was launched in May 2015 and is a relatively new fund under the hybrid equity oriented funds category.

The fund has given 9.19% return since launch and the one year return is 12.21%. The fund has also beaten the benchmark and category return since inception. However, it is too early to conclude or write more about this fund as it is comparatively new.

However, it is not the right fund if you are looking for capital protection as it is a fund from hybrid equity fund category and currently holds around 75% equity and 25% in debt. To get a reasonable return from this fund your investment horizon should be minimum of 3 - 5 years.
